CHAMAN: An intelligence agency and police in a joint operation captured large quantity of arms and munitions, ARY News reported on Friday.
In an intelligence-based operation police along with a secret agency officials conducted raids in Surkhab Afghan refugees camp in Pishin and the areas adjoining to the cadet college.
The law enforcement officials found large quantity of arms and munitions in the scrape bags including 15 shells of rocket launchers, eight SMGs, nine hand grenades, two bullet proof jackets, five pistols, one 9mm pistol, two bundles of fuse and hundreds of the rounds of klashnikov and pistol bullets, sources said.
The arms and explosives were smuggled from Afghanistan into Pakistan through secret routes by crossing the Pak-Afghan border, citing sources ARY News scribe Akhtar Gulfam reported.
The explosives were stored at secret places in Pishin and were meant to be used in a large scale terrorism attack in Balochistan, sources said.
However, in a joint operation the secret agency and the police foiled the plot.
