UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations (UN) Maleeha Lodhi has invited Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio to Pakistan, ARY News reported.

It should be noted that the Oscar award winner address the United Nations General Assembly session on global warming as a messenger of peace.
In his address, he compared global warming to slavery . He said that former United States President Abraham Lincoln spoke before the U.S. Congress to confront the defining issue of his time: slavery. He added that the ex-American president’s words still ring today when applied to the defining crisis of our time: climate change.
He added, “Our planet cannot be saved unless we leave fossil fuels in the ground where they belong.”
Pakistan along with 174 other countries signed the Paris Agreement on climate change in the United Nations General Assembly. The deal sets a world action plan to bring down climate change to two percent by 2020.
