Priyanka Chopra among TIME 100 Most Influential People list

TIME magazine unveiled its 13th annual “TIME 100 Most Influential People in the World” featuring a diverse range of prominent public figures from around the world.
The list, which features 40 women, takes into account those who have inspired others, positively or negatively, and each person on the list has a profile written about him or her by another notable figure.
No one from Pakistan has been included in the prestigious list. Several Indians have made it which includes Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra who also made it to the cover of a special edition of Time magazine.

The Quantico star became the first Indian actress to get a leading role in an international TV show and also won the People’s Choice Award for the Best Actress for the show too. She is also starring in the upcoming Baywatch film alongside Dwayne Johnson. She was pretty pleased and turned to Twitter.
Other Indians who made it to the list include tennis player Sania Mirza, Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, and Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan. Also included are Indian environmentalist Sunita Narain and Indian-American comedian Aziz Ansari.
 Among the world leaders, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been included in the list. The charismatic leader has won praise for his liberal views on a variety of issues and also for his charming looks.
US President Barrack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry have made the list. Republic presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are also featured alongside Democratic presidential hopefuls Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Other US politicians include Speaker of House of Representatives Paul Ryan and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde are among the most prominent women leaders on this list. Other world leaders include Russian president Vladimir Putin, Chinese president Xi Jinping, French Francois Hollande and Turkish president Recip Tayyib Erdogan.
Kim Jong-Un of North Korea and pro-democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi whose party rose to power last month has also been included in the list. Pope Francis who has earned respect from around the world is no surprise. Queen Maxima of Netherlands is the only monarch, while Saudi Crown Prince and Interior Minister Mohammad Bin Nayef also made it to the list.
Among the business leaders include Apple CEO Tim Cook and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerburg and his wife Priscilla Chan.
Entertainment celebrities include Hollywood actors Leonardo DiCaprio, who won his first Oscar Award earlier this year , Dwayne Johnson popularly known as The Rock, Charlize Theron and Idris Elba. British singer Adele who new album ‘25’ was a record-breaking success has been included along with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
UFC fighter Ronda Roussey has also been included alongside Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt. Ibtihaj Muhammad known for being the first Muslim woman who observes hijab to qualify for the United States Olympic Team has been included as well.
