KARACHI: Chairman of PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has taken a potshot at PM Nawaz Sharif for ‘neglecting’ direct reference of Panama Papers in proposed judicial commission to investigate the matter, ARY News reported.
Bilawal’s tweet on Friday was considered to be a major development as PPP had not demanded the prime minister’s resignation.
Nawaz Sharif had claimed during his address that he was innocent and also announced he would write a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to form a judicial commission to probe the Panama papers controversy.
The judicial commission to probe the allegations in the Panama Papers will only be made after Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali returns from his visit to Turkey.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari met with Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad in Islamabad earlier. The two political leaders had discussed the on-going situation of Pakistani politics at length, particularly the Panama leaks controversy.
